Mohammad Aftab Manzoor
Chairman

Mr. Mohammad Aftab Manzoor is President & Chief Executive Officer of Soneri Bank Limited since April 2011. He is a career banker having 28 years of experience in banking and proven track record of excellence in banking industry. He remained with Citibank N.A for 15 years. During this time he worked as Business Head for Corporate Banking and Business Head for Product Group-Cash Management, Financial Institutions and Custody. He was also a guest reviewer on Credit Review teams across the world for Citibank N.A.

He joined MCB Bank Limited Pakistan as SEVP- Group Head Credit & Risk Management in 1998. During this two years period he revamped the bank’s credit manuals and automated the processes, upgraded the Monitoring & Credit Administration with a perspective of bringing down NPLs to the lowest level amongst the peer group.

He was President and Chief Executive Officer of MCB for 7 years. MCB, the fourth largest bank in Pakistan had employee force of over 9000 people having branch network of over 1000 branches offering full service of banking across the country and overseas. He contributed by successfully restructuring the Bank with a strongest financial ratios, during his tenor the bank secured highest Moody’s rating in the Country.

Under his dynamic leadership the Bank received the prestigious Euro Money Award six times and MCB was declared the best domestic bank for 3 years by Asia Money. He also had the distinction of launching complete range of Consumer Banking Products as well as Islamic Banking Products, making MCB the first largest network bank in this segment.

Thereafter he was President of Allied Bank Ltd. from August 2007 to May 2010 and President & CEO of KASB Bank Ltd. from August 2010 till March 2011.

Mr. Mohsin Ali Nathani is a seasoned corporate banker with over 25 years of banking experience, covering Asia (East and South-East), Middle East and Levant regions. He was the CEO for UAE at Standard Chartered PLC and in his penultimate role, he looked after Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited as CEO. Prior to that, he managed Barclays Bank Pakistan as their Country Head and Managing Director.

Mr. Nathani’s experience spreads across corporate banking, fixed income markets and Islamic Banking. In his previous stints, he headed the Asian syndicated loans business for ABN AMRO bank based out of Singapore, he was the co-head of Asian Debt markets for Citigroup in Hong Kong. Mr. Nathani was also appointed as Senior Credit Officer (SCO) & Senior Securities Officer (SSO) during this period. In June 2005, he joined Citigroup Dubai as Regional head of corporate banking for Middle East, where he was responsible for building the corporate business and a strong and diversified team.

Mr. Nathani is an MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. He is married and has four children, two daughters and two sons. He enjoys playing bridge and is actively involved in social, educational and charitable activities. He is currently on the board of I-Care Pakistan while he has served on the boards of CDC, Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), Kidney Centre and as a trustee in the IBA endowment fund.

Sima Kamil
Member

Ms. Sima Kamil is the President & CEO of UBL. She started her career with American Express Bank and went on to work at ANZ Grindlays and Standard Chartered. Ms. Kamil has over 30 years of experience in Risk Management, Retail, Corporate & Investment Banking. She is also the Chair of the Board of Governors of Karachi Grammar School and is on the Board of the NotreDame Institute of Education. She has a degree in business from Kingston University, UK, and an MBA from City University, London.

Naeemuddin Khan

Mr. Naeemuddin Khan is serving the Bank of Punjab as President & CEO since September 2008. He has over 36 years diversified International Banking experience. He has the honor of delivering presentations at Asian Development Bank, Manila regarding setting up of Restructuring Bodies in Asian Countries. He also represented Pakistan in Egypt‘s International Economic Forum Cairo and delivered presentations on the Pakistan’s Financial reforms and resolutions of the non-performing loans in Pakistan. He started his banking career in ANZ Grindlays Bank in 1978. He served as Branch Managers of Grindlays Bank in Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi and at other senior positions. In 1991 he joined Emirates International Bank as its Chief Manager. Later he joined United Bank Ltd. as SEVP Special Assets Management and Legal Division, at a time when the bank had a default portfolio of over Rs. 30 Billion in Pakistan and abroad, which he successfully resolved. In 2001 he was seconded by the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the then Governor State Bank of Pakistan to Corporate & Industrial Restructuring Corporation (CIRC) as Member Banking. He developed the functional layout of the Corporation and successfully handled all its operations for 6 years and was pioneer in setting up the CIRC from the start to the end till 2006. In CIRC, he managed recoveries of the NPL defaulted amounts of six Nationalized banks’ portfolio of over Rs. 142 Billion and in 2004 he was awarded Muzaffar Memorial Gold Medal by SBP Governor in recognition of meritorious services to the Banking Industry in Pakistan. He also served Pak Libya Holding Co. (Pvt) Ltd as the Managing Director / CEO from June 2006 to August 2008

Tawfiq A. Husain
Secretary General/CEO

Mr. Tawfiq Husain brings with him over 37 years of diverse & rich international experience in Commercial & Central Banking. He started his career in 1976 with American Express Bank (AEB) in Pakistan & went on to be appointed, in 1994, its General Manager, Philippines. In late 1995, he became the first Pakistani Country Manager of AEB for Pakistan.

In Sept 2001, he was appointed Deputy Governor, State Bank of Pakistan,& served two terms in that position. During his tenure in SBP, he led its capacity building in critical areas like risk management, banking supervision, reserve management etc & participated in the banking sector reforms, banks’ privatization program & market liberalization. As a nominee of SBP, he, concurrently, served on the boards of Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, & Pakistan Security Printing Corporation.

He returned to the private sector in 2008 & was appointed President & CEO, Samba Bank Ltd, Pakistan, a position he held till his retirement in September 2013.

Mr. Husain has done BSc Hons (Maths) from University of Karachi and MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
