Mr. Zafar Masud
ChairmanPresident & CEO, The Bank of Punjab
Zafar Masud is a development- and impact-focused banker with around 30 years of experience spanning banking, development finance, energy, corporate governance, and public-sector transformation. He currently serves as President & CEO of The Bank of Punjab, Pakistan’s second-largest public sector bank, and as Chairman of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA). Under his leadership, BOP has undergone a comprehensive transformation, embedding digital capabilities, strengthening governance, and doubling deposits, advances, and profitability.
Mr. Masud has held senior leadership positions in multinational banks including American Express Bank, Citigroup, Dubai Islamic Bank, and Barclays (Southern Africa). He served on the Board of the State Bank of Pakistan and was Director General of National Savings, where he led digital transformation and introduced welfare and Shariah-compliant products. He was also the Founding CEO (Interim) of InfraZamin Pakistan, a pioneering credit enhancement platform for social infrastructure financing.
He is Non-Executive Chairman of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited and has contributed to multiple national institutions, including universities, economic committees, and social-impact programs. An MBA from IBA Karachi and alumnus of INSEAD, Mr. Masud is an established thought leader and author of two books on leadership and economic reform.
Mr. Nassir Salim
Senior Vice ChairmanPresident & CEO, Habib Bank Limited
Muhammad Nassir Salim serves as President & CEO of HBL, bringing over 36 years of international and domestic banking experience across the USA, Abu Dhabi, and Pakistan. He has held senior leadership roles at American Express Bank, Citigroup, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and is recognized for guiding large, complex financial institutions through periods of transformation.
Mr. Salim joined HBL in 2017, serving as Head of Global Operations, Head of Branch and Islamic Banking, and Chief Operating Officer before assuming the role of President & CEO in March 2024. Under his leadership, HBL continues to advance financial inclusion, digital transformation, SME and agriculture financing, and sustainability, while maintaining a strong focus on customer-centricity and operational excellence.
Beyond HBL, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) as Senior Vice Chairman and is a Director on the Board of HBL Zarai Services Limited. He has also held key positions including Director at the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited and Chairman of HBL Currency Exchange.
Mr. Salim holds an MBA in Finance from IBA Karachi, receiving the Finance Gold Medal and the IBA Distinction Award 2024, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP). His leadership reflects a commitment to innovation, growth, and strengthening Pakistan’s financial sector.
Mr. Yousaf Hussain
Vice ChairmanPresident & CEO, Faysal Bank Limited
Yousaf Hussain is President & CEO of Faysal Bank Limited, with over 30 years of experience in banking and finance, having held senior roles at ABN AMRO, Samba Bank, Mashreq Bank-UAE, and Mobilink. He joined Faysal Bank in 2008 and has been instrumental in driving the Bank’s transformation and growth.
Under his leadership, Faysal Bank transitioned from a conventional bank into one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks. He introduced innovative Islamic products and enhanced operational efficiency through a customer-focused, technology-driven approach. This large-scale conversion was recognized by the Islamic International Rating Agency (IIRA) as the world’s largest Islamic banking conversion, reflecting his pivotal role in reshaping Pakistan’s banking landscape.
He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) and has previously served as Senior Vice Chairman. He is also President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI), a Council Member at the National Institute of Banking & Finance (NIBAF), and a Director at the Pakistan Business Council (PBC), while contributing to IBA’s Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance.
Mr. Hussain holds a BS in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications) and an MBA from LUMS. He is recognized for promoting diversity, inclusion, and CSR, with a focus on education, health, and environmental sustainability.
