Mr. Zafar Masud
Chairman

President & CEO, The Bank of Punjab

Zafar Masud is a development- and impact-focused banker with around 30 years of experience spanning banking, development finance, energy, corporate governance, and public-sector transformation. He currently serves as President & CEO of The Bank of Punjab, Pakistan’s second-largest public sector bank, and as Chairman of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA). Under his leadership, BOP has undergone a comprehensive transformation, embedding digital capabilities, strengthening governance, and doubling deposits, advances, and profitability.

Mr. Masud has held senior leadership positions in multinational banks including American Express Bank, Citigroup, Dubai Islamic Bank, and Barclays (Southern Africa). He served on the Board of the State Bank of Pakistan and was Director General of National Savings, where he led digital transformation and introduced welfare and Shariah-compliant products. He was also the Founding CEO (Interim) of InfraZamin Pakistan, a pioneering credit enhancement platform for social infrastructure financing.

He is Non-Executive Chairman of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited and has contributed to multiple national institutions, including universities, economic committees, and social-impact programs. An MBA from IBA Karachi and alumnus of INSEAD, Mr. Masud is an established thought leader and author of two books on leadership and economic reform.

Mr. Nassir Salim
Senior Vice Chairman

President & CEO, Habib Bank Limited

Muhammad Nassir Salim serves as President & CEO of HBL, bringing over 36 years of international and domestic banking experience across the USA, Abu Dhabi, and Pakistan. He has held senior leadership roles at American Express Bank, Citigroup, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and is recognized for guiding large, complex financial institutions through periods of transformation.

Mr. Salim joined HBL in 2017, serving as Head of Global Operations, Head of Branch and Islamic Banking, and Chief Operating Officer before assuming the role of President & CEO in March 2024. Under his leadership, HBL continues to advance financial inclusion, digital transformation, SME and agriculture financing, and sustainability, while maintaining a strong focus on customer-centricity and operational excellence.

Beyond HBL, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) as Senior Vice Chairman and is a Director on the Board of HBL Zarai Services Limited. He has also held key positions including Director at the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited and Chairman of HBL Currency Exchange.

Mr. Salim holds an MBA in Finance from IBA Karachi, receiving the Finance Gold Medal and the IBA Distinction Award 2024, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP). His leadership reflects a commitment to innovation, growth, and strengthening Pakistan’s financial sector.

Mr. Yousaf Hussain
Vice Chairman

President & CEO, Faysal Bank Limited

Yousaf Hussain is President & CEO of Faysal Bank Limited, with over 30 years of experience in banking and finance, having held senior roles at ABN AMRO, Samba Bank, Mashreq Bank-UAE, and Mobilink. He joined Faysal Bank in 2008 and has been instrumental in driving the Bank’s transformation and growth.

Under his leadership, Faysal Bank transitioned from a conventional bank into one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks. He introduced innovative Islamic products and enhanced operational efficiency through a customer-focused, technology-driven approach. This large-scale conversion was recognized by the Islamic International Rating Agency (IIRA) as the world’s largest Islamic banking conversion, reflecting his pivotal role in reshaping Pakistan’s banking landscape.

He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) and has previously served as Senior Vice Chairman. He is also President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI), a Council Member at the National Institute of Banking & Finance (NIBAF), and a Director at the Pakistan Business Council (PBC), while contributing to IBA’s Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance.

Mr. Hussain holds a BS in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications) and an MBA from LUMS. He is recognized for promoting diversity, inclusion, and CSR, with a focus on education, health, and environmental sustainability.

Mr. Aizid Gill

CEO, Allied Bank Limited

Mr. Aizid Razzaq Gill is a seasoned banking professional with over 29 years of experience in financial management, risk analysis, research, and portfolio management across corporate and commercial banking. He joined Allied Bank Limited in 2005 as Regional Corporate Head and has held senior leadership roles including Head – Commercial Assets, Head of Commercial & Retail Risk, and Group Head – Corporate & Financial Institutions Risk. Prior to becoming CEO in 2021, he served as the Bank’s Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

Mr. Gill holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, an MBA from the USA, and a Master’s in Business Economics from the UK as a Chevening Scholar. He has also completed executive education programs at MIT, Columbia University, and London Business School.

He serves as a Director on the Board of ABL Asset Management Company Limited and represents Allied Bank at the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) and the Pakistan Business Council (PBC). Additionally, he is a Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.

Mr. Gill brings deep expertise in risk management and corporate governance, with a career dedicated to strengthening Pakistan’s banking sector. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA).

Mr. Atif Bajwa

President & CEO, Bank Alfalah Ltd.

Mr. Atif Bajwa brings over 40 years of international experience in executive leadership across banking, corporate boards, and public-interest institutions. He began his career with Citibank in 1982 and has since held senior roles in major local and multinational banks, including President/CEO of Bank Alfalah, President/CEO of MCB Bank and Soneri Bank, Regional Head of Citigroup for Central and Eastern Europe, Head of Consumer Banking for ABN AMRO’s Asia Pacific region, and Country Manager of ABN AMRO Pakistan.

Beyond banking, Mr. Bajwa has been active in business advocacy and social impact initiatives. He has served as Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC), President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI), and as a Director on boards of multiple public and private sector companies.

Mr. Bajwa holds a degree from Columbia University, New York. His extensive leadership experience, both domestically and internationally, underscores his deep understanding of banking, corporate governance, and the intersection of business and social development.

He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA), contributing his expertise to the growth, governance, and strategic direction of Pakistan’s banking sector.

Mr. Basir Shamsie

Basir Shamsie is the President & CEO of JS Bank Ltd., leading with a vision that banking is about creating opportunities and driving meaningful change. Under his leadership, JS Bank has achieved major milestones, including the acquisition of BankIslami, one of Pakistan’s largest Islamic financial institutions.

He also spearheaded Zindigi, a pioneering digital banking platform that has transformed access to banking for Pakistan’s younger, tech-savvy population. With over five million downloads, Zindigi demonstrates how technology can break barriers, expand opportunities, and promote financial empowerment. JS Bank remains a leader in SME financing, supporting entrepreneurial growth and fostering innovation across the country.

Mr. Shamsie holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School Leadership Program. His career reflects a strong commitment to innovation, learning, and using banking as a tool for inclusive growth.

Mr. Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary

Haaris M. Chaudhary is a seasoned banking leader specializing in financial inclusion and digital banking, driving innovative solutions for purpose-led growth. As President & CEO of Mobilink Bank, he has strengthened the Bank’s leadership, expanded Islamic Banking, and advanced digital solutions for Pakistan’s unbanked and underserved communities. Mr. Muhtashim Ashai

Muhtashim Ashai is a seasoned banking executive with over three decades of experience, currently serving as President & CEO of Soneri Bank Ltd., a role he has held for six years. Combining an Electrical Engineering background with an MBA, he brings strategic leadership and deep industry expertise to Pakistan’s financial sector.

Mr. Ashai began his career in investment banking at Fidelity Investment Bank, focusing on corporate credits and equity placements. He then spent 11 years at ABN AMRO, honing his expertise in corporate banking across Pakistan and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Soneri Bank, he served a decade at MCB Bank, notably heading the Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG) and leading MCB Islamic Bank.

His core competencies include general management, corporate relationship management, trade sales, and treasury. He has a proven track record of managing complex portfolios for corporate and financial institution clients, consistently driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Mr. Ashai currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA), contributing his expertise in strategic leadership, client-focused solutions, and the continued advancement of Pakistan’s banking sector.

Ms. Natasha Ahmed

Group Head - Human Resource Management, Muslim Commercial Bank

Natasha Ahmed is Group Head of Human Resource Management at MCB Bank, bringing nearly 30 years of experience across banking and financial services. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from LUMS (1996) and has worked with institutions including Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari & Co., WI Carr Securities, World Bank, and Faysal Bank Limited.

Ms. Ahmed joined MCB Bank in 2006 and built a distinguished career in Corporate Banking, serving as Head – North within the Wholesale Banking Group, covering Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad. On October 1, 2025, she was appointed Group Head of Human Resource Management, reflecting her leadership and strategic expertise in managing talent and organizational growth.

She has participated in international trainings led by Euromoney, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, and Turkiye Bankasi, and completed the Enhancing Board Effectiveness – Director’s Training Program from LUMS in 2025. In recognition of her contributions, Ms. Ahmed received the LUMS VC Alumni Achievement Award in 2022 for her impact in banking and mentorship of women in the financial sector.

Ms. Ahmed currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA), contributing her expertise in strategic HR management, talent empowerment, and organizational development to advance inclusive growth in Pakistan’s banking sector.

Mr. Habib Yousuf

Citi Country Officer & Banking Head, Citi N.A.

Habib Yousuf joined Citi Pakistan as Citi Country Officer and Banking Head on December 15, 2025, bringing over three decades of leadership experience in financial services. Prior to this role, he served as Regional Director for South Asia at British International Investment (BII), leading country teams and investment initiatives across Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

Before BII, Mr. Yousuf held senior leadership positions at HBL, including Head of Strategy, Regional General Manager for Afghanistan & Bangladesh, and General Manager, Financial Institutions, driving strategic initiatives, managing cross-border operations, and strengthening institutional partnerships. Between 2007 and 2012, he led Corporate, Investment Banking, and Financial Institutions Businesses at NIB Bank and served as CIBG Head, overseeing core banking franchises and business expansion. Earlier, he spent 13 years at Global Securities Pakistan Limited, culminating as CEO from 2003 to 2007.

Mr. Yousuf began his career at Citi Pakistan in 1992 as a Management Associate. His extensive expertise spans corporate banking, investment banking, strategy, and cross-border financial operations.

He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA), contributing his leadership and experience to drive innovation, governance, and sustainable growth across Pakistan’s banking sector.

Mr. Rehmat Ali Hasnie

Rehmat Ali Hasnie has been serving as President & CEO of the National Bank of Pakistan since August 2023, bringing over 27 years of experience across economic research, capital markets, investment banking, treasury, and credit markets. He holds a Master’s in Development Banking from the American University, USA

Before his appointment as President & CEO, Mr. Hasnie held senior positions at NBP, including leading Investment Banking and Priority Sector Lending. He has been instrumental in advancing the Bank’s access-to-finance initiatives, focusing on agriculture finance, SME lending, and the promotion of renewable resources, aligning NBP’s operations with Pakistan’s financial inclusion and sustainable growth goals.

As NBP’s nominee, he has served on the boards of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Ltd., Fauji Akbar Portia and Marine Terminals Ltd., and Agritech Ltd., and has chaired the Board of First National Bank Modaraba and the Pakistan Mortgage Refinance Company Ltd.

Mr. Hasnie currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) and is a member of the Council of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan. His leadership combines strategic financial expertise with a strong commitment to inclusive banking, innovation, and sustainable economic development in Pakistan.

Mr. Saad ur Rahman Khan

Managing Director, Pakistan Kuwait Investment Company

Saad Ur Rahman Khan is the Managing Director of Pakistan Kuwait Investment Company (Private) Limited, nominated by the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Government of Pakistan. He brings over 30 years of experience across retail, trade, SME, commercial, corporate, investment, financial institution, international banking, and risk management.

Mr. Khan began his career with MCB Bank Limited in 1993 and has held senior positions at leading local and multinational banks, including Citibank, National Bank of Pakistan, Habib Bank Limited, and Bank Alfalah. His leadership spans diverse banking functions, including strategy, corporate finance, and risk management.

He has served on the boards of Alfalah Asset Management Limited, NBP Fund Management Limited, National Bank of Pakistan Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Sapphire Wind Power Company Limited, and Triconboston Consulting Corporation (Pvt) Limited. Currently, he also serves on the boards of Meezan Bank Limited, National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited, Al Meezan Investment Management Limited, and the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.

Saadya Riaz is a seasoned financial services leader with over 20 years of experience in retail banking, wealth management, and client segmentation. She has held leadership roles with direct P&L responsibility across East Asia, the Middle East, and Pakistan.

Currently, Ms. Riaz serves as Head of Wealth & Retail Banking at Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan, where she drives strategic growth, customer-centric innovation, and operational excellence. Under her leadership, the bank continues to expand its reach, enhance customer experiences, and deliver innovative solutions in retail and wealth banking.

Mr. Syed Amir Ali

Syed Amir Ali is a seasoned Islamic banking professional with over two decades of experience in finance, treasury, corporate, and investment banking. He has held senior leadership roles across leading domestic and international organizations and currently serves as President & CEO of Meezan Bank Limited, driving the strategic growth and innovation of one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks.

Mr. Ali joined Meezan Bank in 2006, leading the Corporate and Investment Banking Group, and later served as President & CEO of BankIslami in 2018. He has played a pivotal role in advancing Islamic finance in Pakistan, promoting innovation, ethical banking, and sustainable growth.

He is a CFA Charterholder, Chartered Accountant (Gold Medallist), MBA (Gold Medallist), and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree. An alumnus of Harvard Business School, he demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous learning and global best practices.

Mr. Tahir Bhatti

President & CEO, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited

Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti is a seasoned banker with over three decades of distinguished experience across Pakistan’s leading financial institutions. He currently serves as President & CEO of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL), where his leadership has driven record-breaking performance, achieving the highest aggregate profits in the Bank’s history during 2023–2024, surpassing the cumulative profit of the previous 21 years.

Previously, Mr. Bhatti served as President & CEO of Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Limited (PPCBL), turning a loss-making institution into a profitable bank within one year. At Faysal Bank Limited, as Head of Retail, he led the world’s largest Islamic banking conversion across more than 600 branches, earning the “Best Emerging Bank 2020” award from the Institute of Bankers Pakistan. He has also held senior management roles at Askari Bank and Allied Bank.

Mr. Bhatti holds an MBA (Finance) from IBA Lahore, an M.Com. from Hailey College of Commerce, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting (Gold Medalist). He completed the High Impact Leadership Program at Columbia Business School, USA, and has received multiple honors, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from IBA and a Gold Medal from the President of National Bank of Pakistan for outstanding performance.
